Gemma's Companion is the 4th Book in Village of Shadows Series.
Released from prison Gemma rents a house in Deden, a village where all
the inhabitants are reformed criminals, or descendants of reformed criminals.
Due to her disability she is given Ruby, a support dog, to help her cope with
day to day living. Unfortunately the man next door has a cat and he doesn't
take kindly to Ruby chasing the feline out of Gemma's garden.
She starts to wonder if she made the right choice in coming to live in Deden,
but where else can she go?
