Christmas has come and gone and we're now several weeks into 2026. 

Here in New Zealand it's supposed to be our summertime, I have to admit in our location at the top of the South Island it's quite warm. We have had some rain but a lot of strong winds. Today is sunny with no wind, perhaps summer has actually arrived.

However the North Island has been hit by rain, rain and more rain. A lot of flooding has occurred damaging a lot homes and businesses. This morning a landslip in Mount Manganui (beside Tauranga) has destroyed many caravans, tents and a toilet block on a camping site and they are still checking to ensure nobody is trapped in the wreckage.  Hopefully all got out safely.

I intended to release a new romance novel for Christmas, but due to medical issues I was unable to finish it in time. I'll work on it during the year and release it next Christmas.

As an alternative to Amazon I'm also releasing my books on Kobo and Kobo Plus. Kobo Plus is something like Kindle Unlimited, but you can download ebooks and audiobooks for the monthly fee, plus you get some free if you buy a Kobo reader. I bought a Kobo reader a few months before Christmas and I have virtually stacked all my favourite authors on the reader. It's in colour (the cover I mean) and I can also put my own books and friends books that I bought directly from the authors. Also for authors information, Kobo Plus does NOT mean no other retailers. You can do Plus and send the book to Amazon or wherever. My books are also available on Caishelbooks.com (don't forget to click on the currency at the top or bottom of the page to change it to your own country's money).
